Looking for a church but not sure where to turn? We want to help you find a home. Our church is dedicated to helping everyday people grow in Christ, and we want to have some fun along the way! Click below to find out more and plan a visit.

Have children? No problem, we've got you covered. We have a ministry for you child no matter what the age. We love the little ones, and understand the importance of a safe environment for children to learn about Jesus.

Pastor Bill was born and raised in West Virginia where he received Jesus as Savior and Lord at age seven. After graduation from Virginia Tech, he moved to Houston, Texas and worked for twelve years as an aerospace engineer on Space Shuttle computer systems. Sensing the call to ministry, he completed an MDiv degree, and became a full-time pastor in 1994. He served in senior pastor and administrative pastor roles in Texas, Kentucky, and West Virginia before coming to Abingdon Baptist in July 2018. Pastor Bill has also completed the DMin and PhD degrees. He has taught seminary courses in the US and overseas since 1998. He is married to Deborah, and they have three adult children. Pastor Bill enjoys hiking and running as well as reading and golf.

Music Worship & Arts Camp

July 13-17

Eagle Eyrie

Conference Center

We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely. At this time, BGAV leadershipo is still actively making plans for Music and Worship Arts Camp to be held at Eagle Eyrie, July 13-17.

For children and youth who have completed grades 4–9

Music and Worship Arts Camp is a powerful opportunity to explore and expand our expressions of worship, and to grow closer as a family of faith – joining together to praise God who created us for relationship!

The camp consists of worship times and special interest classes, as well as participation in a choral and/or instrumental ensemble. Each afternoon also contains free time to meet new friends while enjoying the Eagle Eyrie pool, the newly-expanded recreational facilities, and the on-site gift, coffee, and ice cream shops.

Our theme for this year is “SEE 2020”, based on Psalm 119:18.
