Preschool & Children’s Ministry

Sunday School—We have an age-graded Sunday school each Sunday morning beginning at 9:45am for children and students.

Music—On Wednesday evenings during the school year from 6:00-6:45pm, we offer music education for children from 3 years old through 5th grade. Our children sing several times a year in Sunday morning worship as well as present a fall and spring concert.

The three children's choir groups are:

• Young Musicians (4th and 5th grade)
• Music Makers (1st through 3rd grade)
• Cherubs (age 3 through 5)

Missions—Missions education groups for children and students meet on Wednesday evenings during the school year from 6:45-7:15pm.

Extended Session—On Sunday mornings after the Children's Sermon in worship, our younger worshippers engage in an Extended Session in our Fellowship Hall.

Safe Sanctuary–Abingdon Baptist Church has established procedures to reduce the risk of physical, emotional and sexual abuse of children, youth and at-risk adults as they participate in church ministries. All children’s ministry volunteers have background checks and follow the two-person rule.
